How Our Network Works
Request an estimate
Who you talk to
You talk to an independent plumbing provider in your area. That may be the business owner, a dispatcher, or a plumber. Each provider runs its own business and sets its own rules.
Convertedpride Plumbing is the link between you and them. We do not take part in the job itself.
What happens on the first conversation
Expect a few simple questions. The provider will want to know:
- What is happening and when it started
- Where in the house it is
- Whether you have shut off the water
- Your address and how to reach you
Photos or a short video can help. So can a note on any sounds, smells, or gurgling.
The provider may give you a price range over the phone. Many will want to see the problem first. The final price depends on the job.
What to ask a plumber
You do not need to know the trade. These questions are enough:
- Are you licensed and insured in my state?
- How soon can someone get here?
- Is there a fee just to visit?
- Will you give me a written quote before you start?
- What could change the price?
- Do you offer a warranty on the work?
- Can you help me document the damage for my insurer?
Write down the answers. If a reply sounds vague, ask again in simpler words.
You are in control
You choose who to hire. You can talk to more than one provider. You can say no to an estimate. Nothing you send through this site obliges you to hire anyone.
Be careful if someone pushes you to sign fast, asks for full payment up front, or will not put a price in writing. A good provider will answer your questions without pressure.
After the work is done
Ask the provider what caused the problem. Ask what you can do to stop it from coming back. For example, you might learn to keep grease out of drains, insulate a cold basement wall, or have an old sewer line looked at before spring.
